The University of Bordeaux and National Taiwan University (NTU) are offering a fund dedicated to faculty members to support collaborative projects between the two institutions. The call for proposals opens on September 14th and closes on November 13th, 2026.

This joint fund, launched in 2019, aims to encourage sustainable and high-value partnership projects with significant impact on the communities of both institutions. Since 2021, 9 collaborative projects have been funded.

The funding amount, up to 15,000 euros (7,500 euros from the University of Bordeaux and 7,500 euros from NTU), primarily supports travel and costs related to the organization of seminars, workshops, events, as well as student mobility. This aims to help professors from both institutions deepen their understanding of complementary interests and strengths.

National Taiwan University at a Glance !

Founded in 1928, NTU is a public university with nearly 33,000 students. It is the most prestigious university in Taiwan, with the following rankings:

  • Shanghai Ranking: between 200th and 300th worldwide
  • QS Ranking: 69th worldwide
  • THE Ranking: 55th worldwide

The university is particularly well ranked in engineering and computer science.

Modalités

Submitted projects must have a principal investigator from each university. The call is open to faculty members and postdoctoral researchers.

University of Bordeaux and National Taiwan University: A Long-Standing Partnership.
Collaboration with NTU is formalized through a framework agreement and a multidisciplinary student exchange agreement. Several dozen students, mainly from the University of Bordeaux, have benefited from mobility opportunities. In 2017, the University of Bordeaux signed a partnership agreement to establish a triple master’s degree with NTU and the University of Tsukuba (Japan) in agrosciences (Master “Agro-Medical Science in Food and Health” - GIP-TRIAD).
